Last week the 16U Richdale team qualified for the ASA 16U National Championships at the Hall of Fame Tournament in Oklahoma City. To prepare for Nationals Caitlin Noble pitched batting practice at the Shark Tank and Geoff Hirai helped our hitter's approach to top level pitching.
The Sharks were lucky to face Caitlin, a first team All American who is number 4 in strike outs with 757.
The Sharks are also very fortunate to be able to work with Geoff Hirai, a former major league baseball scout for the Cincinnati Reds and division 1, Pac Ten coach for the Washington Huskies softball team.

The Lady Shark pitchers had another opportunity to work with Ernie Parker this past weekend (April 12th). Ernie was kind enough to make another trip to the Northwest from his home in Memphis. Many thanks to the Ladyhawks for organizing this clinic, our girls really benefited from it.

On Thursday December 6th, Mike Richdale died peacefully in his sleep at home after a long courageous battle with brain cancer. His family was with him. For those of us who have been fortunate to know Mike; his passion, knowledge and unwavering devotion to the game of softball will be greatly missed. “Memorial Services for Mike Richdale will be at 1:30 PM Tuesday at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Kirkland. The church is at the southeast corner of the intersection of 100th Ave NE and 124th St. in Kirkland. Everyone in the softball community is strongly encouraged to wear softball uniforms/paraphernalia at the memorial service. This service will be a celebration of Mike's life and his impact on all of us.“
